Who We Are
Olea was created by two chefs brought together by time, travel, and a shared passion for food. Our story began in 2011, when we studied gastronomy together at university. From the very beginning, we connected through the same curiosity for ingredients, techniques, and the emotional power of a well-crafted dish.
In 2014, we met again in Peru, where we studied, worked, and lived together for a year. That time shaped our vision of cooking — discovering new flavours, learning from local traditions, and understanding food as a cultural and sensory experience meant to be shared.
The world brought us together once more in Australia in 2019. Since then, we have worked side by side, refining our style and building a shared philosophy: cooking with intention, respecting ingredients, and creating moments that connect people around the table.
After many years working together, we felt it was time to express ourselves in our own way. Olea was born from the desire to share the art of eating — thoughtful food, seasonal produce, and experiences designed to stay with you forever.
